Wheel-a-thon

Joe raised over $100 for his pre-school at the Salinas Adult School Parent Center. He's still got time to raise more. Please help us and make a donation in amount and you will receive a special thank you gift.
The Salinas Adult School is an amazing local resource that is very much needed in our community that is unfortunately known for gang activity and high homicide rates. Students here have all kind of opportunities such as learning English as a second language, earning your GED or going to rehabilitation classes after a stroke. Multiple members of my family have attended the Salinas Adult School at various stages in their lives.
Sadly, the school is considered by the state budget as being "expendable." It is a public school but the state is only required to proved K-12 education so the entire school could be eliminated if the district chose to cut it. And as the K-12 schools have more cuts, it puts schools like the Salinas Adult School more and more at risk. The Parent Center has already had to close the popular Toy Lending Library and now the Family Garden will soon follow as a casualty.
The pre-school program Joseph attends is one of only two accredited pre-schools in Salinas. It is very affordable which is great for families like ours who make too much money to get pre-school for free but still don't make enough money to have a lot of money leftover each month.
Any donation you can make will be appreciated. Joseph has received donations in amounts ranging from $3-$20. Thanks so much for you consideration!!
