Dads and Brothers

I was diving in the mountains of photos my dad left behind and came to these which I really liked. The first one is a great photo of my dad carrying his camera bag. He was always taking photos and movies. He also is at a healthy weight here - not too skinny. The one below is a photo I had never seen before. I had never seen this photo of my dad with his two older brothers.

Took Photos Today

We went and took photos at JC Penney today for Halloween. Amanda is a cowgirl and Joseph is Buzz Lightyear. I had to jump in this photo because it was the only way to keep Amanda sitting in one place. I think she was afraid of the straw.

Pumpkin Patch 2009

We went out to Borchard Farms today which was a lot of fun. The kids played and played in the bounce house and we got to see cousins and friends there. What a great afternoon!

Monterey

This was a few minutes before Amanda fell on her head in this crazy boat!! She had a little red mark for the day but was okay. We had a great surprise visit from Don, Christine, and Landon. We were so happy to hang out with them today!!

We went to an amazing wedding yesterday in Winters, CA. My dear friend from elementary school got married yesterday to the love of her life!

PreSchool Safari

Today was "Visiting Day" at Joseph's first day of pre-school. Next week comes the day where he's supposed to stay at school without me. We'll see how that goes. I don't have high hopes for a smooth transition just yet. It was a fun day but the heat made him really cranky and tired after it was over.

Summer Gardening

In July we did a session of the garden class at the Adult School. Amanda was not fully walking like I anticipated but we managed! We got to pick carrots on the very first day and on the last day we cooked a veggie stir fry. YUM

Joe wasn't in the parade this year but he rode is Skuut bike over to where we watched the parade. He also wore the cowboy hat that used to be mine when I was a kid.

Tahoe

Amanda spent her first full night away from me with my mom in Tahoe the first night we were in Reno. It wasn't planned that way, but it's the way it worked out.

Robert Turned 30

I know... I've been neglecting this blog. Life has gotten busier than usual so I'll post some things to catch up. We went to Reno in July to celebrate Robert's 30th b-day.
