Put together a space for kids to work on their artistic efforts. Please note the stool with the red cushion and the red pencil sharpener - I have these items since I was a kid. I put place mats out that we had from the dinner table to help protect the table. The plastic drawers on the left (while not totally attractive) are full with stickers, more coloring books and the top drawer has the play-doh set that can only be used at the kitchen table with grown up near by. It needs a little more organizing on the table top but the kids are LOVING it. It really occupies them and it holds their attention longer because they are not cooped up in their room.
