Pouring concrete... it's not something new to me. My dad was a very DIY kind of guy so I've done my share of helping with home improvement projects from pouring and stamping concrete and laying brick. Something he always did was to etch the names of his kids in the concrete. The concrete planter in front of my house has my brother's name in it from when they lived here in the 1970s. So these are the days I miss my dad. I won't be missing him so much on the holidays because he wasn't a big fan of all that stuff, but he loved a big concrete pour. He would have been out with his cigarette and his opinion all day long. So here we pay a bit of tribute to him by etching his name in our concrete...
