Toxic Synovitis

When it rains, it pours.

This morning, Joseph screamed in his sleep. He didn't wake up so we thought it was a bad dream. But when he woke up, he was instantly crying and fussy. We noticed he couldn't walk and would fall down when he'd take a step. If he held onto the sofa, he'd be on his tip-toe to relieve weight off his right foot. I thought he sprained his ankle somehow!

Turns out he has toxic synovitis and it should clear up. It's something wrong with his hip - not his foot. My poor little guy has to "take it easy" though which will be hard considering he is so active, and it's hard to tell a toddler to sit back and relax. Let's hope for the best case scenario and it goes away in a few days....
