As many of you know, I've been a homemade baby food maker since starting solids when my little guy turned 6 months old. One of our favorite breakfast foods is oatmeal. I'm not a fan of oatmeal even though I know it's good for me. If I'm really ambitious, I chop up and cook some apples or pears into it and sprinkle some cinnomon. But I'm not that ambitious every morning. So today I discovered an easier way to add some flare to baby's oatmeal - the applesauce! I buy the unsweetened, natural kind and he rarely eats the whole thing. So the leftovers make a great easy kick for our morning oatmeal.
